Got up about half an hour ago to discover that someone has -- again -- stolen the newspaper from in front of our apartment door. This is the third time in a week and a half, and apparently the carrier hasn't been getting the "slide it under our door" message that I've phoned in to the Free Press twice. If I could set up a bear trap on our threshold, I would, and I'd be lying if I said that I wouldn't take some satisfaction in the sound of the thief screaming like a schoolgirl.
Yesterday we got our first snow. While the view from our window is enchanting, I can't say I'm looking forward to going out in it, which I might have to do later today if I can't convince George to make the necessary grocery run.
Over on DeviantArt, someone is claiming that their parents comforted a woman whose son was killed by a coven of witches because she left the coven in question. The original poster didn't take kindly to my suggestion that not reporting this to the police makes her parents potential accessories to murder or at least candidates for obstruction of justice charges. Fucking false-witness jerkoffs... they go around telling these lies when it's clear that the police have NEVER been contacted, and can't produce any documentation to indicate that those who were "murdered by TEH EBIL WITCHEZ" actually disappeared. I guess in their sad little moral system, the end really does justify sinking to the bottom of the barrel.
