First, the yum: for supper tonight, Campbell's French Canadian Pea soup with El Molino Carv'n Carbs chips. They taste great AND are much lower in carbs than regular chips of just about any sort. Highly recommended.
Then, the damn: saw Dr. S today and was told that basically we're at the end of the rope as far as med changes go. He's advising upping the Ritalin a tad, but beyond that thinks that the next step would be switching to MAOI inhibitors, which would involve stepping me down off almost all the meds I'm on right now (a 2 month process) and then having me completely med-free for a couple of weeks before starting on them. This would, I think, be a real recipe for disaster.
So -- I'm off Ipsos-Reid, again, until December 15th, to give me time to try out the new Ritalin load and also to get in some low-stress volunteer experiences to ease me back into the 7.5-hr-day working mentality. I'm just terrified that if I went straight back to I-R I'd crash and burn spectacularly, which wouldn't be fair to them or to me.
Tonight I'll be leading a Samhain ritual at Holly's place as a tie-in to her year-and-a-day course.
Happy Halloween, everybody! :-)
